Cities & Growth Minister Greg Clark MP joined local MP for Warrington David Mowat and dignitaries from across Cheshire to sign a local growth deal worth £158million for the region last week.
The Cheshire and Warrington Local Growth Deal will see significant Government investment in transport infrastructure and cutting-edge science research. The deal includes funding for both a Mersey crossing between Chester Road and Slutchers Lane and a new high-level crossing over the Manchester Ship Canal linking the A56 and A57.Read more

Motorists in Warrington were given something to cheer about today when Local Growth Minister Greg Clark MP confirmed that a new high level bridge for Warrington had been approved. The project has been talked about in Warrington for decades but there is now a real momentum behind it.
