Mowat congratulates schools on exam success

David Mowat today congratulated Warrington's schools for their excellent recent exam results. Warrington was ranked 24th nationally with 61.8% of children attaining at least five good GCSEs including English and Maths. The Government target for the area was 60%.

Mr Mowat said:

"These are excellent results and we should be celebrating them. It's also important to remember that results like this don't just happen. A lot of effort has gone in from pupils, parents, teachers and staff at the Council. We can be very proud of what has been achieved."
