Lord Chancellor, Secretary of State for Justice and former Parliamentary Candidate for Warrington South, Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP was welcomed to the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace last week by local Warrington South MP David Mowat, Colin Parry OBE and Wendy Parry OBE.

The Lord Chancellor was given an overview of the work of the Foundation, particularly its involvement with victims of terrorist atrocities and had a discussion about the future funding of the Foundation’s Survivors for Peace programme.

Last March, the Chancellor agreed to fund the programme for a further year, but that support is currently due to end in the next few months.

David Mowat said:

It was an honour to welcome Chris back to Warrington South and to bring him to the Foundation which does so much to support victims of terrorist attacks.

The Survivors for Peace programme is coming to the end of the deal that was agreed with the Government last year, so it was good to have the opportunity to raise the matter directly with the responsible minister.
